This example retains its original four-pocket configuration, adjustable cuffs, and internal drawstring waist. The shell shows only minor signs of wear, with stitching and hardware in solid condition. No modifications or insignia are present, suggesting it may have been used by a rear-echelon or support unit, or issued late in the war. The label is either faint or absent, as typical for lightly laundered field gear from this period. Jackets like this were worn from the Normandy campaign through the final advance into Germany, and they remained in limited use into the Korean War.
