The front features a distinctive green enamel laurel wreath encircling the raised, dark blue enameled "WAG" initials, flanked by a detailed, outstretched wing to the right. This winged brevet was worn above the left breast pocket by qualified aircrew who operated radio equipment and manned defensive armament aboard RAF bombers.
