• Canteen: Marked “U.S. L.F. & C. 1918,” this canteen was produced by Landers, Frary & Clark in 1918, one of the official manufacturers of military canteens during WW1. It features the classic kidney shape with a screw-top cap. The aluminum canteen shows signs of use, consistent with its age, and is an excellent example of the canteens carried by soldiers during the period.
• Cup: The cup is marked “U.S. 1918 – BA Co.,” indicating it was made by the Bethlehem Aluminum Company. It features the classic butterfly handles, allowing it to be securely placed over a fire for heating water or meals in the field. The cup has some wear from use, giving it an authentic, battle-worn appearance.
• Cover: The canvas cover is marked “U.S.” and is the early style used in WW1, continuing into the interwar period and into early WW2.
