This is an original WW2 German Fire Police (Feuerwehr) helmet featuring a double decal design. The black-painted steel shell displays the Fire Police insignia on one side and the red-and-gold party shield on the other, both in well-preserved condition. The helmet originally had a fire comb mounted on the top, which was removed long ago, as evidenced by the filled or smoothed attachment points.

The interior includes its original size 57 liner and leather chinstrap with a functional buckle. Additionally, the helmet features clear interior markings, including ‘D.R.P.’ (Deutsches Reichspatent) and ‘THALE,’ indicating its manufacture at the Thale factory, a renowned producer of German helmets during the war.

Condition: The black paint shows minor scuffs and wear, consistent with its age and use. The decals are sharp and retain good color and detail. The liner is intact, with age-related wear, and the chinstrap remains functional. Evidence of the removed fire comb adds historical interest to this piece, reflecting its evolution and use over time.
