Constructed from thick brown leather with reinforced stitching for durability, these boots feature an extended lace-up system with metal eyelets and speed hooks for quick adjustment. The soles are marked “Light Tread HT-S,” a wartime-spec sole designed for superior traction. Interior stamping includes wartime production details, size (8 ½ D), and contract numbers. The heel and outsole are stamped “International Shoe Co.,” confirming their authenticity as a period-correct U.S. military issue. The rich brown leather has developed a unique patina over time due to wear and aging.

These boots were standard issue for U.S. Army paratroopers and elite airborne forces during the Korean War (1950-1953), following the lineage of WWII-era Corcoran jump boots. Soldiers preferred brown leather boots before the transition to black in 1958, making these an excellent example of early Cold War military evolution.
