The helmet comes paired with a Firestone liner, identified by the marking “A 20” inside the liner. Firestone Tire and Rubber Company was one of the primary manufacturers of M1 helmet liners during the war. The liner features the iconic brown fiberglass construction with suspension webbing and an intact sweatband, showcasing its wartime configuration. The webbing appears to be in good vintage condition, with slight wear from age and use, as expected in original examples.
