This is an original WW2-era US Army pith helmet, manufactured by the International Hat Company. The helmet features a distinct sand-colored canvas exterior with signs of wear and light staining consistent with age and use. The interior is lined in green fabric, stamped with the manufacturer’s details: “INTERNATIONAL HAT CO. N 869 QMC – 8020 AUGUST 28, 1940.”

The helmet retains its original leather liner, which remains intact and adjustable. There are small spots of discoloration and evidence of usage, but overall, it remains structurally sound, representing an iconic piece of wartime headgear.

This pith helmet would have been utilized in tropical or arid regions during World War 2, providing both sun protection and military uniformity. Its excellent historical value makes it a superb addition to any collection of military artifacts.
