Finnish Army Summer Blouse M/36 1st Lt Engineers Officer

SKU: 0000018 Category:

Finnish Army Summer Blouse Model 36. Pre-war/early war model with buttons on sleeve, color of arms piping on shoulder boards, this case violet for engineer troops or signals. 2 brass rosettes on violet collar patch with grey borders for engineers, signals would have been yellow border. Patches have correct paper-thread backing, some threads visible, see detail pictures. Rank is 1st lieutenant or Luutnantti in Finnish. No stamps visible. Finnish Army stopped using colors on shoulder in 1940-41, so this is guaranteed by that as a war time or pre-war jacket. Brass engineer troops insignia sewn with black thread to better keeping from loosing. Also has extra button on upper chest for attaching collar flap when used open, as ordered by Commander of Army Troops on Karelian Isthmus. Very nice overall condition, see pictures. All brass plate-style buttons seem to be present. Ask for more pictures if needed. Some signs of use, brass rosettes have little blue mold, not bad, see pictures. Overall, a very nice front fighter´s jacket. Size smallish, fitting to my mannequin which fits Finnish Army 48 sized jackets. Comes with officer “Sam Browne”-belt with double prong. OK condition, soft and still usable. 110 lenght in cm. Belt is quite nice. Some blue mold on brass parts, which is hard/impossible to prevent. Some stitching loose, see pictures. Stamped FN for Friitalan Nahka leather factory
